Meet my new character, Ivy. ^^ (First dev of 2008! xD)
Her full name is Ivy Green Crystal, of the royal House of Crystal of the Forest Faerie, second in line to the throne. However, she does not live in the palace; she lives among the commoners by the name Ivy Sparks (as most middle-class Forest Faerie do not have middle names). She ran away from the palace when she was 11 because she has absolutely no desire to be Queen of the Faerie, and makes her living by stealing. In her hand is a spark wand, her most prized possession, considering they are banned in the forest because, 4,500 years ago, a stray spark burned down the forest and killed two-thirds of all Forest Faerie. She was born with unusually large wings, and, if she had not been the princess that she was, she would have been killed. They make her stand out quite a bit, especially to the boy Faerie (because, apparently they like that?..), so she usually tries to stay hidden from the public eye, and, should she have to venture out in public, she always keeps her wings ticked down. She's also very street smart, which is why she's been able to survive on her own for the past 3 years and avoid the palace guards. They're constantly looking for her, and, despite a few close calls, she's escaped every time. The only people who know where she is are her 13-year old sister, Laiahnah, and the old mechanics shopkeeper, Mr. Fenkin. She keeps in contact with them through a telepathic connection, courtesy of Mr. Fenkin. ~~~ Time~ A few days, probably about 10-15 hours total. Used~ MSPaint, openCanvas (for cleaning the line art), IrfanView (for conversion to .GIF), Microsoft .GIF Animator (for animation) ~~~ Please comment and tell me what you think of her! Also, I'm extremely proud of her, so no harsh critiques please. ^^ If this shows up in your devs a few times, it's bcause I'm tweaking the files, sorry! |
